<p>We come out squatting pretty good, but years of poor postures and questionable squatting (or lifting/running etc.) technique remedy that.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s look at just one aspect of the squat. The relationship between the tibia and the torso from the lateral view. Take a look at this picture&#8230;</p>

<p>The left hand picture places unnecessary force through the knee complex and the right hand picture places excessive stress in the lumbar spine and sacro-illiac joint. The version of the picture in the middle represents forces being distributed evenly through the hip, knee and ankle. This maximizes glute involvement while the lumber spine is positioned in a neutral position optimal for load transference so this does not happen..</p>
